Plaintiff Files Civil Action Alleging Fraud and Misuse of Funds in International Vehicle Transaction

Tampa, Florida — A civil lawsuit has been filed in Miami-Dade County Circuit Court on behalf of an international consumer alleging significant financial losses arising from a failed vehicle-purchase transaction involving cross-border commerce between the United States and Venezuela.

According to the complaint, the Plaintiff entered into an agreement under which funds were provided for the purchase and export of vehicles from the United States. Despite substantial payments being made over an extended period of time, the vehicles were never purchased or delivered, and repeated attempts to resolve the matter were unsuccessful.

The lawsuit asserts multiple causes of action, including breach of contract, fraudulent misrepresentation, civil theft, unjust enrichment, conversion, and violations of Florida’s Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act. The Plaintiff seeks recovery of more than $100,000 in damages, along with additional relief permitted under Florida law.

The action underscores the importance of accountability and transparency in interstate and international business dealings, particularly where consumers rely on representations concerning the handling of funds and delivery of goods.

The case is currently pending before the Circuit Court of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit in and for Miami-Dade County, Florida. As this is an active legal matter, further details will be addressed through the judicial process.
