Florida Business Files Lawsuit Over Alleged Breach of Settlement Agreement

Tampa, Florida — Bizbooster Corp, a Florida corporation based in Hillsborough County, has filed a lawsuit in the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit Court of Florida alleging breach of a written settlement agreement entered into to resolve prior litigation.

According to the complaint, Bizbooster Corp and the opposing party executed a Joint Settlement Agreement and Mutual Release in early 2022. The agreement required the opposing party to make structured monthly payments totaling $15,000 over several years. The settlement was properly executed, notarized, and expressly governed by Florida law.

The lawsuit alleges that the opposing party failed to make required payments in accordance with the agreed-upon schedule, constituting a material breach of the settlement agreement. As a result of the alleged default, Bizbooster Corp seeks enforcement of the agreement’s contractual remedies, including recovery of unpaid amounts, a contractual penalty, attorney’s fees, court costs, and applicable interest.

“Settlement agreements are intended to bring finality and closure to disputes,” said Gil Sanchez, counsel for Bizbooster Corp and a trial attorney with Black Rock Trial Lawyers. “When one party fails to honor clear contractual obligations, the law provides remedies to enforce accountability and protect the integrity of negotiated resolutions.”

The complaint asserts a single count for breach of contract and requests compensatory damages, enforcement of the agreement’s default provisions, and all other relief permitted under Florida law.

The case is currently pending before the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit Court in and for Hillsborough County, Florida. The claims set forth in the complaint are allegations only, and no findings have been made by the Court at this time.
